The Matrics of 2016 have honoured Oude Molen by producing results in the Engineering subjects that are so brilliant, that it elicits envy. This despite these subjects being notorious for not producing many A-candidates.
The accolades of this Powerhouse of Engineering include:
- Civil Technology having a 58,8% class average (15% above the provincial average)
- Engineering Graphics and Design had 3 distinctions
- Electrical Technology having a whopping 64,8% class average (16% above the provincial average) with 2 distinctions and
- Mechanical Technology having a 61,9% class average (20% above the provincial average) with their 4 distinctions also placed in the provincial top 10. To crown it all, Mechanical Technology is ranked 1st in the Western Cape.
