We are committed to the holistic development of responsible citizens with rewarding careers in innovative technology.
As a Dinaledi school, every learner at Oude Molen must offer Mathematics, Physical Sciences and English Home Language through to Grade 12.
Of the seven compulsory Grade 12 subjects, only one quarter of one subject (i.e. the Technology subject) comprises a practical component - the other subjects, in our narrow engineering focus, are English Home Language, Afrikaans First Additional Language, Life Orientation, Mathematics, Physical Science, and Engineering Graphics. We offer no other subjects. The only choice of subjects that we have is a choice of Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Technology.
We use the best teaching and learning technology to encourage academic success.
The visionary 'Holistic development of responsible citizens' is based on the belief that our learners must be more than mere cogs in industry but must enjoy a healthy lifestyle in democratic South Africa.
There is an enormous market for the knowledge and skills our graduates have so it is clear that they do well, but we also give Oude Molen learners an understanding that they must do good.
