On Wednesday, 12 October, Oude Molen hosted its Cultural Evening. The evening kicked off with some of the Matric girls parading their gorgeous Matric Ball dresses. After that we moved on to the Talent Show. 

Some of the items included: Sisa (9Bl) with his circus act, Merry, Lulu and Delicia (8Ps) with a Hip-Hop dance routine, Dominique (12Vw) played guitar and sang, Reo and Nathanial (11Dn) performed a song which Reo wrote and Ali (12Vw) and Sumaya (9Bl) showed off their singing talents.

However, after the audience cast their ballots, it was decided that Black Ice Jazz Band (Charne, Liam, Nicholas, Augustine, Damian and Mikhial) was the winner of the Talent show.

The Grade 9 classes performed short One Act Plays in which they showed some characteristics of their favourite teachers. They condensed a year’s memorable moments into a five-minute play.

Lastly, but perhaps most importantly, we had the Audio-Visual Team who ensured that every person had a mic when needed and was quick to close the curtains between plays. Thank you to Shadley, Tarno, Dylan and Corbin (11Dn). They put in many hours to make sure things happen when they are supposed to happen.

Hopefully, next year we can have this type of event more often!
